Apple heeft bekend gemaakt dat de App Store opnieuw een mijlpaal heeft gehad. Dit keer zijn er al 2 miljard applicaties gedownload en geïnstalleerd. Ondertussen bevinden zich 85.000 verschillende programma’s in de App Store en zijn er meer dan 50 miljoen iPhone en iPod Touch gebruikers. In het persbericht staat een citaat van Steve Jobs over dit resultaat:
“The rate of App Store downloads continues to accelerate with users downloading a staggering two billion apps in just over a year, including more than half a billion apps this quarter alone,” said Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO. “The App Store has reinvented what you can do with a mobile handheld device, and our users are clearly loving it.”
